About Us

That Party Place is an independent party and fancy dress shop in Glasgow. We have a shop you can walk into and a warehouse behind it, and between them they hold over 1,600 party lines — costumes, wigs, masks, makeup, hosiery, decorations and all the small daft things that make a night out work.

Come and see us

We are at 85 Bogmoor Road, Shieldhall, Glasgow G51 4FH, with free parking at the door. Our opening hours are shown at the foot of every page on this site.

The shop matters because costume sizing is not like normal clothing sizing. A costume cut to fit over your own clothes fits differently to a dress, and suppliers size differently from one another. If you are between two sizes or unsure, come in and try it — it is a great deal easier than posting it back.

Order online, collect the same day

Anything on this site can be reserved online and collected from the Glasgow shop, usually within the hour. Useful when the party is tonight and you have left it late, which — and we say this with affection — a great many of you do.

Why we do Halloween properly

Halloween is our busiest few weeks of the year and we plan for it from spring. We buy from Smiffys, Rubies and Boland among others, we keep the sizes in stock rather than ordering them in, and we publish each supplier's own measurements so you can check before you buy rather than guess.

Getting in touch

If you cannot find what you are after, ask us. We know what is in the warehouse, we know what is coming in, and we would rather point you at the right thing than sell you the wrong one.
